Co-creating your ideal birth; filled with care, choice, and presence.

Through the prenatal period, labor, and birth, I offer non-medical, emotional and physical support to birthing people, their partners, and other support people.

Birthing experiences look different for everyone — from individual medical needs to how they process information to what traditions they want to infuse into each moment.

I bring a listening ear, strong pair of hands, and a compassionate heart to guide you through pregnancy and birth, with on-call prenatal and continuous labor support. I offer unbiased information you need and co-create the meaningful experience you want.

  • Prenatal Meetings

Separate meetings totaling at least 6 in-home hours to establish trust, create a healthy working relationship, and cover prenatal & labor planning. Can include childbirth education, labor options, comfort measures, support people involvement, meaning-making opportunities and traditions, and planning for postpartum support.

*Typically 3 meetings, but can accommodate alternatives depending on timing.

  • Birth Support

Starting at 37 weeks, I am available on-call 24/7. Before calling me to your location, I can support client decision-making via text, phone, and video call. During labor, I provide continuous emotional, physical, and decision-making support until after delivery. There is no time limit on how long RC will support you during birth, though a backup doula is available in extenuating circumstances.

  • Postpartum Visits

Two visits to your home, the first, within 10 days from delivery, and second within a month of the first.
This is an opportunity to check in about your and baby’s health, discuss your birth experience, check in about mental health, provide resources and referrals, and provide physical and emotional support to you and your support people.

Pricing

The cost of this birth package is $1,500.

Birth support can take place at your home, birth center, and/or hospital. There is no time limit for my presence, virtually or in-person.

Everyone should have access to birth services, regardless of economic barriers.

All birth services are available at sliding scale prices within 25% of the full price.

If you additional economic flexibility is needed, a number of pro bono births can be accommodated.

Back Up Doula

In the unlikely (and yet to happen) event that I am not able to be present for your birth, a back up doula will be present. This will only happen if illness or another emergency occur.

Before your expected due date you will be able to have a prenatal meeting with another doula so you are familiar with them before being called in. They will have access to your written birth guide and will be briefed on everything covered in your prenatal meetings.

This doula will be fairly compensated for their time spent meeting with you, being on call if I am unable to be, and for your birth if they end up attending. Your back up doula may also step in if birth support extends beyond 24 consecutive hours and I am in need of relief.

I am happy to discuss the details of back up doula selection in our consultation.
